Ohh!!!! I've got a Lemmers this week. I know we haven't talked a lot lately Lem, let's wait until this week is over to catch up OK. Until then how's your wife, how's your opera, and eat my poop.
I love the Steelers over Miamah!!! No Big Ben? No Bus? I’m remain unshaken. Listen, I’ve been watching Culpepper on opening days for years. As long as the Steelers have a running back of some sort, this is a Pittsburgh W.
I Love the Bucs to make Air McNair look like he uses Nair on his leg, chest, and crotch hairs!
I love the Pants over the Falcors!!! Anyone want to chip in for a Kris Mangum blue jersey for Mophats? He would look so good in that.
I love the Rams over the B’cos!! Stephen Jackson is a stud is the making, and he’s finally got a coach who will give him the ball.
You know I love the Pats over the Bills!! You’ll get a lot of Pats love from me. Just get used to it.
I love the Texans over the Uggles!!! This is a tough game to pick. I’ll go with the home team.
I love the Browns over the Saints!!! Saints and road games are like Lemke and male expressions of affection. They get awkward, forget their gameplan, and pee a little bit.
I love the S’hawks in D-Town!!! I expect the Lions to improve, but it’s a tough first draw for them.
I love the Titans over the J-E-T-S!!! Holy frick I hate both of these teams. If this is on TV, I’m going to go to the food court in the mall instead.
I love the Bungels in KC!!! Wow, game of the week if you ask me. I predict a high scoring game, Ugly fans, and clashing jerseys.
I love the Pack over the Bears!!! Now, don’t kill me Bears fans. Your team is far superior to the Green and Gold. The only problem is that your management are a bunch of cocky bastards who don’t spend money in good places, refuse to draft a tight end, have one receiver, start a happy-foot QB, and are annoying at press conferences. Arrogance loses this opening, but the Bears will rebound in short order.
I love the Jags over the Boys!!! This should be a great game. John Henderson is like 4 Bergs rolled into one.
I love the Cards over the 9ers!!!! A lot of red in this one. The first sellout in like 30 years will bring the Cards good luck. With that poop-stain of an O-line, they need all the luck they can get.
I love the Colts over the G-men!!! Should be fun to watch. I want to pick against the Colts, but can’t do it this week.
I love the Skins over the Purple!!! I can’t watch this game because I have a council meeting. We’re going to talk about budget, building plans, and new furniture for the library. I’m not bitter or anything.
I love the Bolts over the Raydahs!!! Shawne Merrimen is my daddy.

A prime example of the picks the Legend will be making through the year. Packers over Bears. The worst o-line in history against a top crop defense. The bears offense will not need to score this game because the defense will add a good 17 to 34 points to the Bears scoreboard. You Suck Legend!
Two words, Jerry Angelo. Bone head, arrogant mouse face GM who won't improve his offense and still thinks he can win a playoff game. I know the Pack sucks and that the Bears are a good team, but I'm banking on arrogance. Notice that I'm not a homer - i didn't pick the Vikes.
I'm not a homer either. But picking the Pack over the Bears is rediculious. You are basically saying that every team will beat the Bears because Angelo is arrogant.
Timmb, you misread me. I think the Bear's will come out arrogant b/c they have arrogant management that refuses to improve on a bottom 5 offense. The Bears may have won the division, but the were still the 10th or 11th best team in the league last year. That's not good enough to stand pat on a bottom 5 offense. Plus you are in Green Bay. You won there last year, but Lambeau hasn't been kind to you, even when the Pack are bad like they are now.
your butts smells
Hey Lars, under your rational the Vikes are arrogant for leaving 20 plus million in cap room every year when they could actually go out and get a decent corp of linebackers. At least the Bears max out their funds.
Nate's right. And as long as you've made yourself suceptible Timmb, I believe you wrote that the Bears D will score up to 34 points. Are you mental? Take off the rosy glasses, wash your mouth out with soap, and be realistic. If the Bears score 34 defensive points, I concert to your Bear God who does all things so well.
Ohhh, DD. Don't say that. The LBs are average at best and have little depth(especially with Greenway out). But that's not arrogance. Arrogance is benching a 1,300 yard rusher (first one since sweetness) for an unproven lazy 1st rounder, and allowing a bottom 5 offense to stay the same or get worse while still calling yourself a SB contender. At least my Purple bottom 5 defense of 3 years ago has improved. The Bears aren't even trying to improve the offense. And, notice that I'm not saying the Bears suck, they are just too cocky right now, that's why they'll lose in Green Bay.
Cocky is also relying on a 39 year old QB to last the whole year with a receiver corp that reminds me of an Eagles team before Owens. Cocky is also signing an offensive guard to a QB contract thinking you are one step away from the promise land. Please, if you are going to say the Bears are cocky for not improving an offense, then you are in the same boat since your offense was as poopy as the Bears last year. Especially now that Mr. AA is gone seeing he was the most electric guy on that side of the ball.
You have to remember, Orton was the QB last year for 15 games of the regular season. I think any offensive would be bottom 5 with their 3rd stringer starting basically all year. The offense put up 21 points against the Panthers in the playoffs. If anything, I can't blame them for the playoff loss.
Fair enough MOD. I'm responding to an arrogance that I see all the time down here, which I think is ripe for a week 1 loss. Your Bears should win the division, should be better with Grossman/Griese, and your defense will still be great. That's fine. But don't knock Johnson. Are you telling me that for one year you wouldn't take Brad over Rex? Brad stays healthy, is a Superbowl champ, and doesn't make mistakes. And as far as Hutch, it may have been way to much money. But if the Vikes have a top 5 running game, it's a brilliant sign. B/c of these unknowns, my expectations are low for the Purple. I think Bears fan that think that they are better then last year are in a cloud, that's all.
I understand your arrogance around the Bears living in Chicago. Heck I have to hear all about the Vikings and Twins every year and how sweet they are. So, I understand where you are coming from there.
In regards to your Brad/Rex comparison, I would have to say I would take Griese over any of those two. Brad doesn't make mistakes but he isn't going to lead a 20 point 2nd half comeback either with deep bombs. As a Bears fan, we know all about the "safe" QB and him not making mistakes. I much rather have a guy that isn't afraid to throw long and risk an INT. With the Vikings, you are relying on the running game which hasn't looked good in the preseason and a defense that has a lot of talent but doesn't have the cohesion the Bears have.
Should be a good year, but back to the point. Picking against a team because their GM is arrogant is not the way to go. Looks like another last place year for the Legend :-P
Well stated MOD. I can't wait for the Bear defense to put up more point than the Packers on Sunday.
Decent D makes a great argument, and as usual, Legend leads his with his heart.
I don't know if it's cockiness on the part of Angelo to not upgrade the O. Getting a healthy Grossman back and another year in the system with a healthy (hopefully) recieving corps is in itself an upgrade. I too would have liked to see the Bears draft a TE, but do you really think that would have made them a SB team?
Instead, Angelo played to the Bears strenghts. Updating the special teams with Hester will play huge dividends and shorten the field for the Bears O. Adding depth to the D will help in the long run. It's not like the Bears had 20 mill sitting there to use on a freak wideout.
Please Leg. If you tried to perfect your 3 point shot - strengthish - I would applaud you. If you instead tried to work on your vertical - nonexistenet - I would abhor you. Play to your strenthgs, thats all I'm saying.
Do special teams count as defensive points?
bears 7-0
Lars picks two upsets, Packers and Texans, and both come crashing down on his head.
